Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist is responsible for providing guidance on the development of IS risk management and mitigation plans in order to secure proper management of potential and arise risks and optimize impact.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account leading practices, cost reduction, and productivity improvement
• Ensure knowledge transfer to direct reports and new joiners including approved work policies and procedures
• Follow-up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner
• Coordinate with management in developing and motivating team members
• Ensure transfer of know-how, monitor team’s performance, and provide formal and informal feedback
• Supervise the development of IS risk management plans ensuring alignment with IS strategy and best practices
• Direct the identification and establishment of threats guidelines and provide needed input and recommendations
• Review identified IS risks and assessment process and suggest a mitigation plan to optimize risks impact
• Follow-up on the IS risk register and ensure proper functioning to manage risks
• Track potential risks and secure prompt and effective solution in a timely manner
• Conduct periodical and ad-hoc risk assessments for new projects and suggest improvement actions and recommendations
• Review changes made to existing systems and suggest corrective actions when needed to guarantee appropriate risk management
• Supervise the application of IT systems and secure proper functioning by providing guidance on risks and security architecture, concept designs, testing, etc.
• Guide the development and implementation of disaster recovery mitigation plans for identified operational risks to manage system performance.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or relevant fields.
