Role Summary

The Engagement Manager at EGI is tasked with fostering strategic client relationships and driving the search for new business opportunities. This critical role requires a persuasive and engaging professional who is skilled at navigating high-stakes environments and convincing C-suite executives of our unparalleled expertise and value. Additionally, the Engagement Manager will be responsible for stimulating consultants and experts to step out of their comfort zones, ensuring their active and effective participation in client engagements and the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Engagement and Thought Leadership
    • Cultivate lasting relationships with top-tier executives, demonstrating a deep understanding of the power sector and client-specific challenges.
    • Utilize strategic thinking to connect the dots between client needs and EGI’s capabilities, ensuring the articulation of compelling business cases.
    • Engage clients at a strategic level to explore and create business opportunities, maintaining EGI’s position as a trusted advisor.
    • Encourage key internal experts to engage more dynamically with clients, fostering a culture of active involvement and innovative problem solving.
  • Opportunity Identification and Business Development
    • Lead the identification and assessment of new business opportunities through incisive market analysis and an understanding of regulatory and economic landscapes.
    • Craft and execute business plans that align with internal strategies and client expectations, securing approval from senior management.
  • Contract Negotiation and Impactful Deal Closure
    • Drive negotiations, leveraging a track record of impactful contract signings that contribute significantly to EGI’s growth and client satisfaction.
    • Oversee the entire deal lifecycle, from initial engagement to deal closure, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Partnership and Team Collaboration
    • Initiate and manage high-value partnerships, working closely with partners to enhance project delivery.
    • Act as a key team player within the organization, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree with at least ten years of experience in a similar role, especially in a leadership capacity within the energy sector or a management consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage persuasively with C-suite executives, with a robust portfolio of signed contracts and tangible business impacts.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to connect complex business elements to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders across diverse cultures.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional languages such as Arabic, French, or German being a plus.
