We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to join our engineering team. As part of our IHG family, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the property, ensuring everything operates safely, efficiently, and to IHG brand standards. Your work will help create a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, and control panels.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs promptly.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
Respond quickly to guest and operational electrical-related requests.
Maintain accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and IHG brand standards.
Collaborate with other engineering colleagues to support maintenance tasks across the property.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Relevant electrical trade certification or vocational training.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
