About the Role

Join us as an Electrical QC Engineer, playing a vital role in ensuring the electrical integrity, quality, and operational excellence of critical electrical systems essential to our clients' operations in Water & Power, Oil & Gas, and industrial facilities. This pivotal position demands exceptional technical knowledge of electrical codes and standards, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute rigorous quality control protocols to achieve project objectives safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. What You'll Do

  • Quality Inspection & Assurance: Perform comprehensive quality inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems, including but not limited to substations (GIS/AIS), transformers, switchgear (HV/MV/LV), control panels, protection relays, cabling, grounding, and lighting systems within power plants and industrial facilities.
  • Procedural Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, international electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS, applicable local KSA standards), company standards, and approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all electrical works.
  • Documentation Review & Approval: Review and approve electrical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, cable schedules, test reports (FAT/SAT), material certifications, and installation procedures.
  • Material & Equipment Verification: Verify material traceability, proper storage, handling, termination, and correct installation of electrical components, cables, and equipment according to design and standards.
  • Inspection Activities: Witness and verify critical electrical tests and inspections such as continuity tests, insulation resistance tests (Megger), high potential (Hi-Pot) tests, protection relay testing, functional tests, Earth Continuity and Resistance tests, and lighting lux level checks.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, deviations, and NCRs related to electrical quality. Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions.
  • Reporting & Record Keeping: Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily quality logs, progress reports, and turnover documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with project management, construction teams, client representatives, third-party electrical inspectors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and quality control.


What We're Looking For

  • Extensive Experience: 5-8 years of progressive hands-on experience in Electrical QC Engineering, with a significant portfolio of work in power plant projects (including GT/ST/HRSG auxiliaries if applicable) and other heavy industrial facilities.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional electrical engineering registration is a strong plus. Any relevant electrical safety certifications or specific equipment testing certifications are highly valued.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical installation processes, testing and commissioning procedures, and quality requirements for high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles, power systems, protection schemes, control circuits, and applicable international/local electrical codes and standards.
  • Problem-Solving Excellence: Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in identifying and resolving electrical quality issues.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Mobility: Willingness to be site-based in Dammam, KSA, and immediate availability to join.
