General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing the electrical plans provided and specifications according to local and international codes and standards and international best practices.
- Reviewing electrical shop drawings submitted and material submissions against approved drawings and specifications, local laws, legal requirements, and international best practices.
- Ensuring that the design consultant complies with all Hill International and the Tunnel Authority's internal processes and procedures.
- Providing technical support during the construction period and reviewing the plans as built (As Built)
- Patriciate in value engineering procedures.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Minimum of 13+ years of experience in comprehensive mega projects Job role includes taking overall responsibility for Electrical Engineer on mega projects.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Proven track record of successfully completing diverse electrical projects, ranging from small-scale residential installations to large-scale industrial systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives.
- Experience in collaborating with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, civil, and software engineering.
- In-depth understanding of electrical circuit theory, electromagnetism, electronics, and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, IEC, and IEEE.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and hazard mitigation techniques.
- Understanding of power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzer
