EHS Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret relevant local Saudi EHS regulations and maintain EHS register updated
• Ensure SIG Combibloc company’s policies align with EHS legal requirements, international standards and industry best practices.
• Coordinate audits and inspections to verify adherence to regulatory requirements like MODON, NCEC & other Saudi agencies.
• Lead Environmental Internal, External & SES Audits preparation and findings closure
• Conduct site inspections and environmental assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and put mitigation plan.
• Assist in developing and updating EHS policies and procedures.
• Participate on best practices and the SES implementation through the EHS pillar and be part of the excellence journey
• Develop educational materials and conduct to promote Environmental & Sustainability awareness among
• Drive initiatives to enhance the company's sustainability, such as resource conservation, recycling programs, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Develop and maintain effective environmental emergencies response plan, such as spills or contamination, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  
  

Skills

You bring these skills, experience & education

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field. [Master’s degree preferred]
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in environmental & compliance or related roles.
• Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA certification) are preferred. Certification such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Thorough knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional in English language
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
