Job Description Summary

Trainee should be eager to learn Logistics & Supply Chain from colleagues and work with all internal-stakeholders to ensure that logistics sourcing and operations for Grid Solutions are executed well in time, within budget and logistics sourcing process is compliant. Colleagues within MEA Region Cluster to transfer of knowledge and promote team collaboration and spirit.

The traineeship will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on the job knowledge and technical experience.

Job Description

Key Role and Responsibilities :

Logistics ITO (Tender Support) GEV Grid Solutions – Gulf & Saudi Cluster:

• Receipt of request for Budgetary Logistics Costs from respective Tendering Department and clarify all required details for preparation and Launch of RFQ under intimation to LS, PPL & MEA LM.
• Preparation and dispatch of RFQ’s to GSA|GE Vernova approved logistics service providers, evaluation of quotations, preparation of price comparisons, negotiations to optimize the logistics cost at tendering stage and propose the best cost to Tendering Department upon review and approval by MEA Logistics Manager & Regional Procurement & Logistics Manager
• Maintain the tendering costs register and periodic follow-up with Tendering Department for tender status and ensure that all prices are valid for running tender until the conclusion (win / lose) and periodically review with Logistics Specialist , Project Procurement Leader and MEA Logistics Manager.
  
  

Transport and Logistics Sourcing –GRID SOLUTIONS – Gulf & Saudi Cluster :

• Preparation of RFI for collection of all required data from Stakeholders to define the supplier scope of work and RFQ.
• Preparation and release of RFQ’s to GEV Approved Logistics Service providers, evaluation of quotations, preparation of price comparisons, negotiations within project budget and propose the best cost for review by Logistics Specialist approval by MEA Logistics Manager.
• Ensure and Adhere all logistics sourcing and operations are performed in line with GE’s The Spirit and The Letter under 0% tolerance.
  
  

Transport and Logistics Execution – GRID SOLUTIONS – Gulf & Saudi Cluster

• To support Logistics Specialist and update Logistics Master Tracking Smart for all on going and upcoming logistics shipments for all projects and share the report with stakeholders.
• Ensure operations are executed in line with GE VERNOVA EHS Guidelines and consignments/shipments are delivered safely within stipulated deadline.
• To support Logistics Specialist in handling preparing Export, Courier shipments that all shipping documents documentation are in line with project and local customs requirements in order to ensure hassle-free shipments customs clearance.
• Support Logistics Specialist in Follow up with Logistics Service Providers ( Forwarder , Customs Clearance Broker) PM, Site Team, Warehouse in-charge/storekeeper for Goods Receipt (GRN) and POD(Proof of Delivery ) and Invoice Receipt and Maintain POT% ( Payment On Time ) > 90%across all months of the year.
• Preparing Customs Duty Payment and uploading request on MYPAYMENT Tool to make payment through SADAD payment process.
• Helps to update Logistics Invoice Entry Sheet to allocate Project WBS for Cost Transfer as per OTPIP Process
• Participate in internal project review meetings and present logistics support / progress to internal stakeholders.
• Helps in preparing Customs Reconciliation Report.
  
  

Links / Network

Project Procurement Leader with support of Logistics Specialist & MEA Logistics Manager will ensure that Logistics Trainee is performing the mission as per GE’s Sourcing and Logistics Processes and sharing transport and logistics best practices with local T&L team and other colleagues within MEA Cluster to transfer of knowledge and promote team collaboration and spirit.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor`s degree in Electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Having 0-2 years experience in Logistics and Supply Chain in any reputable organization in Saudi Arabia.
