Director of Engineering
IHG Hotels & Resorts
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Riyadh
Contract type: Full time

Behind every flawless guest experience is a well-maintained, safe, and efficient hotel – and as Director of Engineering, you’ll make that happen.
We’re looking for a proactive leader who can oversee all engineering operations, ensuring the property runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Your expertise and team management will keep our facilities in top shape, supporting both guest satisfaction and operational success.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
No two days are quite the same, but you’ll mostly be:
Leading the engineering team to maintain, repair, and improve all hotel facilities and equipment
Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective operations
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Responding promptly to emergency repairs and operational challenges
Collaborating with other departments to support hotel operations and guest experiences
Overseeing energy management initiatives to promote sustainability
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred
Extensive experience in engineering management, ideally within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental standards
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
What you can expect from us:
We provide a supportive environment with competitive compensation, benefits, training opportunities, and hotel discounts. Join a global brand committed to your growth, wellbeing, and success.
At IHG, we believe in fostering diverse and inclusive teams where everyone can thrive. Join us and help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues.
Join Crowne Plaza one of the largest and best loved premium hotel brands in the world. With more than 420 hotels in diverse locations globally Crowne Plaza is the perfect base to connect on business, pleasure or a blend of both. We've thoughtfully designed our spaces to encourage, support and celebrate great connections. We're also big on meetings and events, a trusted and valued partner for connecting both domestic and global groups alike.
Our branded service style 'Dare to Connect' is crafted for connection. Designed for humans not nameless guests or colleagues. Still professional but touches guests on an emotional level. Where colleagues take their initiative and use their personality because they make a crucial difference in the guest's experience. The role of every colleague at Crowne Plaza is to create memorable emotional connections and the job of every leader is to create an environment where that can happen.
Don't quite meet every single requirement, but still believe you'd be a great fit for the job? We'll never know unless you hit the 'Apply' button. Start your journey with us today.
