We are hiring a Director of Design & Planning to lead our creative and planning efforts in Riyadh. This senior leadership role will oversee the design process from early concept through delivery, with a particular focus on large-scale master planning and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate combines visionary thinking with strong organizational and leadership skills, capable of managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving design excellence across all phases of the project.

• Lead design and master planning efforts for projects across hospitality, retail, mixed-use, and public spaces.
• Develop project design strategies in alignment with client goals, site context, and market positioning.
• Lead the creation of conceptual plans and narratives in early project phases and design competitions.
• Manage the design team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and maintaining high-quality output on schedule.
• Create and oversee project work plans, design schedules, and resource allocation for both short- and long-term projects.
• Ensure fluency in fast-track project delivery, adapting workflows to meet aggressive timelines without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with local consultants, engineers, and authorities to ensure integration and compliance with Saudi regulations.
• Present and defend design solutions to clients and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Foster a studio culture rooted in collaboration, critique, and continuous improvement.

• 12+ years of experience in architecture, urban design, or master planning, with a strong portfolio of large-scale and fast-tracked projects.
• Demonstrated experience in leading design competitions and producing compelling conceptual proposals.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex project scopes.
• Deep understanding of urban systems, land use, infrastructure planning, and the local development process in Saudi Arabia or the region.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate design ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Strong planning and resource management capabilities.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and planning tools is preferred.
• Professional licensure (RIBA, AIA, NCARB, or equivalent) is a significant plus.
