Job Purpose
Responsible for leading SOPC’s integrity, ethics, and safeguarding agenda by establishing a trusted, athlete-centered environment grounded in fairness, safety, and accountability. The role oversees the development and execution of policies, case management frameworks, investigative protocols, and safeguarding education programs, ensuring all integrity-related matters are addressed with independence and confidentiality. Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs, the Director provides expert guidance on ethical conduct, prevention of misconduct, and protection of athletes and stakeholders, while coordinating cross-functionally to embed integrity principles across SOPC, federations, and LOCs.

Job Specific Accountabilities
Integrity Frameworks & Policy Leadership
- Develop and continuously refine SOPC’s integrity strategy, encompassing ethics, safeguarding, case management, education, and prevention programs.
- Establish policies and operating frameworks that promote athlete welfare, fairness, and ethical conduct across all SOPC functions and national federations.
- Ensure integrity frameworks are aligned with international Olympic, Paralympic, and global safeguarding standards.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on emerging risks, ethical trends, and organizational vulnerabilities requiring preventative action.
- Oversee the development of guidance materials, standards, and procedural templates to ensure consistent application of integrity protocols.
- Lead the integrity case management system, ensuring that all reports, allegations, and concerns are handled confidentially, objectively, and on time.
- Oversee the work of the Investigations & Case Management function, ensuring independent review and appropriate routing of cases to independent investigators.
- Ensure investigative procedures, evidence handling, and documentation meet professional standards.
- Monitor case trends, recurring patterns, and systemic issues requiring structural or policy changes.
- Oversee the development and delivery of safeguarding training, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building initiatives for athletes, staff, coaches, and federations, in collaboration with the Saudi Olympic Academy.
- Ensure that safeguarding protocols are integrated into all major SOPC events, athlete programs, and federation activities.
- Guide the Senior Manager of Safeguarding, Education & Wellbeing in designing proactive prevention mechanisms and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain strong partnerships with external safeguarding bodies, child protection agencies, and athlete support organizations.
- Provide expert advisory support to SOPC leadership on ethical behavior, conflict-of-interest matters, and integrity risk exposure.
- Lead the periodic review of the SOPC Code of Conduct, ethics policies, and reporting procedures to maintain relevance and alignment with best practices.
- Act as SOPC’s primary representative for integrity and safeguarding matters with federations, LOCs, government agencies, and international sports bodies.
- Establish strong coordination channels with HR, Legal Affairs, SOTC, and relevant functions to ensure prevention and response mechanisms are embedded operationally.
- Lead communication protocols with external investigators, regulatory authorities, and independent safeguarding experts as needed.
