Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales professional eager to make a significant impact in the realm of market data? Join our team as a Sales Director based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a focus on the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regions. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving revenue growth by promoting and selling our cutting-edge market data solutions to key stakeholders within the diverse business landscapes of MENA/GCC. The Sales Director role in the EMEA Region is responsible for growing and retaining the distribution of our information services across a wide spectrum of customers in specific territories. The Sales Director will also be responsible for providing market intelligence and generating leads for business units across Capital Access Platforms.

A typical day will include:

  • Analyzing and prioritizing development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives that support a specific region– ultimately driving revenue and generating business with prospective as well as existing customers.
  • Closing deals in order to meet individual/team targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Senior level interactions with customers/prospects within own territory.
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with executives to understand their needs and link them to Nasdaq product/services.
  • Proactively drive the implementation of products and coordinate communication, maintenance and new development across Nasdaq relevant business units.
  • Track sales efforts (calls, meetings, events) through use of CRM and other sales applications.
  • Support development of new products and enhancement of existing information products as liaison between assigned firms and Nasdaq product management staff.
  • Provide strategic input to the product development and compliance groups within Nasdaq’s global data business.
  • Provide market intelligence on client trends, demand drivers and competitive dynamics to business units across Capital Access Platforms.
  • Develop leads and cross-selling opportunities for business units across Capital Access Platforms.
  • Represent Nasdaq in professional industry group meetings, seminars, and conferences to further relationships with prospective and existing customers providing visibility into our products.

You will need to demonstrate skills/experience in:

  • A wealth of knowledge concerning industry trends and market dynamics specific to GCC/MENA, facilitating strategic sales initiatives aligned with regional business goals.
  • Proficient in tailoring sales strategies to accommodate cultural nuances, ensuring seamless engagement and effective positioning of products or services within the unique professional context of the GCC/MENA markets.
  • In-depth understanding of the unique dynamics, cultural nuances, and business landscapes within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region.
  • To be successful, you will need to be passionate about our business, thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be extremely proactive with our customers.
  • Expertise to expand a global business into new markets/sales channels.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Occasional work outside of regular business hours and travel required.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills with proven track record.
  • Proven track record in cultivating and nurturing strong professional relationships with candidates, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust, fostering long-term connections with both clients and candidates.
  • Dedication to maintaining a robust network within the industry, staying abreast of market trends.
  • Strategic approach to relationship management, tailoring communication styles to diverse personalities and organizational cultures.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of CRM and other sales applications.
  • Highly proficient in computer and technology skills
  • Excellent sales, communication and time management skills.

And it would be great if you also have experience in:

  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Sales within finance, tech, or market information services industry preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in the markets, and fintech space.
  • Market structure knowledge.
  • General understanding of cloud solutions and API technology.
