As part of this exciting opportunity, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring precision, manufacturing feasibility, and continuous improvement in automotive body structure development.
Your Key Responsibilities
Dimensional Engineering & SE
- Participate in DTS definition and confirm manufacturing feasibility.
- Evaluate part tolerance and locator strategies.
- Review and refine the measurement plan strategy.
- Assess jigs and fixtures solutions for stamping and body shop.
- Develop and implement the dimension control plan.
- Collaborate with Stamping, Body, and Quality teams to ensure alignment.
- Define the dimension maturation roadmap.
- Identify high-impact parts and drive issue resolution.
- Organize dimension maturation meetings and deep-dive reviews.
- Evaluate dimension risk in each build phase to improve precision.
- Define slow build planning and pre-conditions with cross-functional teams.
- Implement slow build process in alignment with body shop standards.
- Analyze deviations and drive corrective actions for permanent solutions.
- Define measurement points from inline measurements.
- Ensure correlation and consistency in measurement systems.
- Analyze variations and deviations to optimize the production process.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the production team.
- Define and implement key functional dimension strategies.
- Develop control plans for stamping and body shop functions.
- Finalize control plans during the launch phase to ensure precision and efficiency.
