Design Manager for D&B of Water treatment complex project

AtkinsRealis are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead the D&B contractor in design and development of our water treatment plant project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and water treatment technologies, being Water filtration, Sewage treatment and desalination. This role involves overseeing the entire design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, as well as manage and process, RFIs, TQs, services coordination, BIM, etc..

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water treatment plant projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, process designers, contractor and other stakeholders to create detailed project plans and specifications.
• Being a D&B project, the responsibility include managing the design deliverables completion in accordance with on the ongoing structure construction.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the preparation of technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage RFIs, TQs and design workshops to achieve timely delivery of designs
• Arrange the review of the planned operational aspect of the plant
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in design management of water treatment plants in KSA/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies and processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in water treatment plant design management.
• Experience with advanced water treatment technologies and innovative solutions.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience working with international projects and teams.
• Strong network within the water treatment industry.
• Knowledge of sustainable and green engineering practices.
