Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager - Assets & Operations Management to join our team!

The role of a Design Manager in Assets & Operations Management involves the overall conception and execution of design projects from start to finish. They are responsible for managing a design package within a specific asset typology. They also coordinate all design-related matters on projects, helping to keep work running smoothly and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as Lead Designer for all phases of a project.
• Provide technical guidance to project design and drafting personnel based on the asset's and operational aspirations of the project.
• Function as liaison with client operational team, suppliers, and contractors regarding design issues.
• Supervise the preparation, design, and presentation of high-quality concept drawings and reports.
• Supervise the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitor construction quality.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, all engineering disciplines, and quantity surveyors.
• Plan, program, and delegate within the team structure and participate in workflow reporting and planning.
• Provide high-level liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives.
• Participate in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules as required.
• Maintain affiliations with professional societies to keep abreast of development of trends and technologies.
  
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including some job leadership experience.
• Experience managing groups for established Architecture/Engineering firms or the client side.
• Experience dealing with KSA-based municipalities and developers.
• Proven leadership and delivery ability.
• Knowledge of LEED and ESTIDAMA principles, certification preferred.
• Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as knowledge of the capabilities and efficiencies of utilizing specific computer software to complete design assignments.
• Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
