Job Description

The Senior Registrar - Dermatology is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive dermatology care to patients through remote telehealth services and physical clinics. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans for patients. This role is crucial for enhancing patient access to dermatological services, ensuring high-quality clinical care. The Senior Registrar will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective dermatological services and improve patient outcomes

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis

• Deliver high-quality dermatological care to patients
• Conduct thorough history and physical examination and evaluations and assessments of patients with dermatological issues and problems
• Provide comprehensive dermatological assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment planning for patients through secure telehealth platforms and in-person care
• Gather patient history, diagnose different and wide range of dermatological conditions and treat as needed

Treatment Planning and Medication Management

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing and monitoring of dermatological medications
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, utilizing remote patient monitoring technologies and data analytics
• Collaborate with patients to set treatment goals, select appropriate therapies and medications, and regularly review and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Coordinate and consult with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure seamless and integrated care for patients

Patient Education and Counseling

• Provide patient education and counseling on skin health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies and prevention strategies
• Deliver medication management, and other skin health interventions using various digital tools and video conferencing technologies and in-person
• Engage patients in shared decision-making, address their questions and concerns, and empower them to be active participants in their care

Clinical Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic medical records, including patient notes, treatment plans, and medication prescriptions
• Ensure timely documentation of all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record system

Skin health awareness and education

• Participate in the development and implementation of new digital and non-digital health initiatives, including the creation of patient education materials, online resources, and telehealth program expansion
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our telehealth and digital care services by providing feedback, conducting research, and implementing evidence-based best practices

Clinical Mentorship and Education

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital skin health technologies and evidence-based practices
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure the coordinated delivery of high-quality, patient-centered skin care

• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and the ability to develop comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and provide empathetic care.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating integrated care for patients.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital mental health technologies and practices
• Completion of residency training in Dermatology from an accredited program.
• Classified as Dermatology Senior Registrar and carry a valid SCFHS license.
• Proficiency in utilizing various telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital health technologies in the delivery of psychiatric care.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in digital skin health, including the use of mobile applications, online therapy, and remote patient monitoring.
• Experience in medical education, training, and mentoring junior medical staff is desirable
