About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and Data Science Manager to lead our Arabic NLP R&D team. The ideal candidate is a native Arabic speaker with a strong foundation in AI and machine learning, a record of building and deploying real-world AI systems, and the technical depth to bridge cutting-edge research with scalable software solutions. In this role, you will guide the development of innovative Arabic NLP technologies and ensure they are robust, efficient, and production-ready.

What You'll Do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, and NLP researchers working on advanced Arabic language solutions.
• Drive the development of end-to-end pipelines—from data ingestion and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate research-driven NLP innovations into production environments in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
• Guide the team in using best practices in software design, testing, versioning, and deployment for AI products.
• Ensure the team adopts modern ML tooling and infrastructure, including vector databases, orchestration tools (lang-graph, lang-chain , etc..), and scalable APIs.
• Stay current on advancements in Arabic NLP, LLM fine-tuning, and ML infrastructure.
  
  

Qualifications

• Native Arabic speaker with deep familiarity with Arabic linguistics, dialects, and script.
• At least 10 years of experience in AI, ML, or data science, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven track record in building and deploying AI/NLP systems in production settings.
• Experience in one or more of the following is a must:
• LLMs pre-training, fine-tuning, and building LLMs, with demonstrable results.
• Building Advanced (not plain-vanilla) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Information Retrieval, Embedders and Re-rankers training and finetuning.
• Text-to-SQL Systems.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals and ability to implement them in real-world systems.
• Expertise in Python and ML/NLP frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, and others.
• Demonstrated ability to design modular, maintainable, and scalable AI solutions and products.
• Solid grasp of the computational and linguistic challenges unique to Arabic NLP.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MLOps tools, CI/CD pipelines for ML, and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
