Job Purpose

The Data Analyst will support the Program Management team within DGII by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets related to project performance, cost, schedule, risk, and resource management. This role is essential to enhancing visibility, enabling data-driven decisions, and ensuring project controls align with the client’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Structuring
  • Gather project data from various sources including Primavera P6, Aconex, Oracle/ERP, cost management systems, dashboards, and contractor submissions.
  • Structure and maintain a central database for project controls data (schedule, cost, risk, KPIs, etc.).
  • Work closely with Planning, Cost, Risk, and Reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Conduct time-series and trend analysis on project KPIs, progress curves, cost variance, schedule performance, and earned value metrics.
  • Analyze performance across multiple packages, including Design, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Identify data anomalies and provide early warnings through predictive analytics or machine learning models where applicable.
  • Dashboard Development & Maintenance
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure dashboards are aligned with RCRC and DGCL reporting requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Provide ad-hoc and automated reports to the Project Controls Director and senior stakeholders.
  • Program Performance Monitoring
  • Assist in tracking program-wide performance metrics such as CPI, SPI, cash flow, milestones, deliverables, and risk exposure.
  • Support development of Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), Executive Dashboards, and Board Presentations.
  • Evaluate contractor and consultant performance through benchmarking and trend analysis.
  • Data Integrity & Governance
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across all program packages.
  • Maintain documentation on data definitions, sources, assumptions, and calculations.
  • Support implementation of data governance frameworks in alignment with the PMO’s standards.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Data Analyst, PMI-PBA, Power BI, or Tableau) preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role within large infrastructure or construction programs.
  • Proven track record in project controls or PMO environments on mega-projects, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Familiarity with data from Primavera P6, cost systems, and risk platforms used in program management.

Technical Skills

  • Power BI / Tableau – Strong dashboard development and data visualization skills.
  • SQL – Proficiency in querying and manipulating relational data.
  • Excel – Advanced use including pivot tables, macros, and formula automation.
  • Primavera P6, Aconex, and Oracle ERP exposure is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics or automation is an advantage.

Working Environment

  • Based full-time in Riyadh at the DGII Program Offices.
  • Interaction with multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Commercial, Risk, Planning, and Construction.
  • Occasionally required to attend site inspections or coordination meetings.
