Description
AWS Security is looking for an experienced cybersecurity leader to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation with the highest levels of security and resilience available on AWS cloud infrastructure. You will lead a local team of cybersecurity and compliance experts and engage with a broad set of internal stakeholders, regulators, and Saudi customers to achieve secure and successful outcomes. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for security and compliance for AWS customers in the Kingdom.
The team is comprised of security professionals with a cross section of national security and private sector experience, providing a range of perspectives required for creative problem solving. Key job responsibilities
You will interact with various levels across Amazon to manage the the collection and communication of information. You will serve as the main point of contact and liaise with regulators. You will lead the strategic approach to the unique expectations of the regulator(s), report to Amazon leadership and manage a team dedicated to the oversight of AWS’s KSA Region.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team to oversee compliance and security matters for AWS in Saudi Arabia
- Serve as a single point of contact handling inquiries and compliance to local regulatory obligations and information security matters; align multiple stakeholders on appropriate solutions that balance regulatory expectations and Amazon’s approach to operational efficiency
- Conduct hands-on work to coordinate cybersecurity-related engagements with both internal and external customers, fostering effective communication and collaboration to address security concerns and requirements
- Ensure that relevant security policies and procedures are documented and adhere to contractual requirements and local laws; implement ECC, CCC and/or other security compliance frameworks into design and build baselines to achieve the agreed security posture
- Proactively engage with KSA regulators and security organizations including the National Cybersecurity Authority, National Data Management Organization, and other Saudi government organizations and regulated customers with an interest in the security of the AWS KSA Region.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Cybersecurity, Technology Policy, or other related fields.
- 10+ years of IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory experience; management experience of 5+ years
- 5+ years of experience working directly with senior government officials and executives on security, compliance, technology, or related policy issues
- Experience with Saudi Arabia privacy, security, and resilience requirements across regulated sectors of government, financial services, and national critical infrastructure
- Have an understanding of evaluating the design and effectiveness of security controls
- Experience working with sensitive or classified systems of government
- Have experience in cloud technologies
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role and a portfolio of writing samples
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to effectively deliver information to c-suite/VP level
