Cyber security Analyst SOC

We are seeking a Level 1 SOC Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Operations Center team. The candidate will be responsible for continuous monitoring of security systems, identifying suspicious activities, and escalating potential incidents in a timely manner. This role is ideal for graduates of Tuwaiq Academy or intensive technical training programs who are looking to enter the cybersecurity field in a hands-on capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM systems such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
• Identify abnormal patterns or suspicious activities across network and system logs.
• Escalate security incidents to Level 2 (L2) Analysts according to defined procedures.
• Document incidents and updates in the security ticketing system.
• Coordinate with security and IT infrastructure teams when necessary.
• Follow standard operating procedures (playbooks) during incident analysis.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Preferably a graduate of Tuwaiq Academy for Cybersecurity or similar intensive training programs.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts, protocols, and common threat types.
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or Security Onion.
• Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule.

Preferred Skills:

• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or Tuwaiq Academy credentials.
• Strong analytical and monitoring skills.
• Accuracy in documentation, responsiveness under pressure, and effective communication abilities.
