Our client is a leading Tier 1 Global Forwarding & Logistics specialist. They seek a Country Head of Ocean Growth responsible for leading and implementing all KSA Ocean Freight growth initiatives. This strategic role requires developing and executing pricing strategies, value propositions, and solution designs to achieve company growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive volume growth for all Ocean Freight products, coordinating closely with Ocean Freight Country management and product heads.
  • Collaborate with Regional Trade Management to prioritize trade lanes and countries, supporting the Trade Lane growth plan.
  • Lead and optimize Ocean Freight pricing activities to ensure efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Oversee large tender processes with Ocean Commercial Center specialists, ensuring smooth execution of global Request for Quotations.
  • Promote automation in tender management for improved efficiency.
  • Analyze Ocean Freights performance to enhance win ratios and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct risk analysis and make strategic proposals to meet growth targets.
  • Simplify country-led Request for Quotations to streamline operations.
  • Lead the implementation of Straight-Through processing for tender business.
  • Foster senior-level engagement with commercial product stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Country product development.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Country Growth and Route Development Manager (where applicable) structures.
  • Drive trade lane plans and target customer strategies in collaboration with local product heads, the Trade Management team, and the Marketing & Sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Sales team to align the commercial approach across all Ocean Freight products.
  • Serve as the primary focal point for Marketing & Sales activities within the country.
  • Ensure process and activity alignment across the country, supporting Ocean Freight's growth goals.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Ocean Freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven experience working in a multinational environment and within a large corporation.
  • A successful track record as a seasoned leader.
  • Strong network and customer relationships.
  • Strong results orientation and a commercial mindset.
  • Strategic thinking combined with action-oriented execution.
  • Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Effective team management and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and engage in high-level internal and external meetings.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a readiness to coach and develop teams.
