The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Country Communications Lead to join our team. In this role responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's relationships with government entities and overseeing all communication strategies within the country. This role involves strategic planning, advocacy, and effective communication to support the organization's objectives and public image. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization's interests are well-represented and communicated effectively to both government entities and the public.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the organization's public image internally and externally in close collaboration with global/ HUB communication and in alignment with business priorities.
  • Writing press releases, speeches, articles, and other communication materials related to government affairs.
  • Managing media relations and responding to inquiries from the press and public.
  • Coordinating internal and external communication efforts to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Managing external agency, as per business request and requirements
  • Handling Brand Positioning, Content Management, Crisis Communications Management, social media and Media relations, Digital footprint.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for legislative and regulatory advocacy.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the impact of public policy and legislative changes on the organization.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with government officials and external agencies.
  • Representing the organization at meetings, public hearings, and press conferences.
  • Preparing and presenting reports to senior management on government relations and legislative initiatives.
  • Defining and leading execution of the communication strategy for Saudi Arabia
  • Conducting research and analysis on public policy, legal statutes, and proposed legislation.
  • Advising and briefing executives on policy changes and political issues that might impact on the organization.
  • Facilitating visits of government officials to the organization.
  • Developing and managing relationships with industry coalitions, trade associations, and advocacy groups.
  • Providing management guidance and developing business messages and support communications around key events such as industry conferences, tradeshows, and employee meetings in line with corporate branding strategy as well as developing and managing relationships with the media.
  • Regularly measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies and activities, using KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring all communication activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in media, content & government relations interactions, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation
  • Cross functional communication skills (media, investors, branding, editorial, web, internal, etc.)
  • International experience – cross cultural
  • Proactive engagement with national, regional, business and stakeholders
  • Understanding of digital communications channels and the power of social media
  • Exceptional writing/editing skills
  • Proven experience to analyze and develop relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders
  • Strong networking ability and multi-cultural credentials (is a plus)
  • Direct work experience with senior management
  • Proven experience to analyze, develop and collaborate relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders internally and externally, be a people person
  • Solid experience to deal with media request, both mainstream as well as trade
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Business knowledge or industrial technology knowledge
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic is required.
