Job Description

To direct the management of SDC’s Corporate Finance and Treasury department by driving cash management, cash transaction management, banks relationship management, project funding, investment support, scenario analysis development, financial valuation models development, and financial risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Treasury and Cash Management
  • Direct the cash investment/maturity transaction process and cash investment portfolio to ensure that adequate funds are available.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day treasury activities including management of cash flow, financial resources, and financial services to meet financial obligations of SDC.
  • Guide treasury activities related to borrowings, debt and capital management, and cash balance allocation to reduce financial costs and ensure availability of funds. Banking and Taxation Activities
  • Oversee the provision of bank-related activities including the opening/closing of bank accounts to ensure smooth banking services are attained at an organizational level.
  • Negotiate with banks interest rates for fixed deposits to ensure that SDC receives the highest possible ROI on its fixed cash deposits.
  • Guide the assessment of identified investment opportunities in financial instruments (e.g. bonds, sukuks, and funds) and long-term investments that will enhance SDC’s ROI and financial position.
  • Prepare mitigation plans for currency and interest rate exposure to ensure financial integrity of SDC and stability of its investments.
  • Monitor taxation levels and compile regular reports on taxes owed by SDC to the government and relevant authorities to inform internal and external stakeholders. Treasury Reporting
  • Direct the preparation of periodic financial reports on cash positions, liquidity statements, and the variation of cash positions from budgets to provide the senior leadership with updates on the cash position of SDC. External Stakeholder Management
  • Lead the identification, sourcing, and negotiation with optimal financers and institutions with the most convenient financing schemes to support with funding SDC activities.
  • Build and maintain work relationships with banks to maximize financial benefits. Forecasting
  • Produce a comprehensive forecasting frameworks using several inputs (e.g. past performance, strategies, transformational plans, macro-economic trends, and internal input) from relevant departments to determine activity/project profitability and accuracy of meeting set targets. Monitoring
  • Manage the vendors payments accurately and timely.
  • Evaluate the financial requirements of existing activities of Soudah Development's operating units to identify potential future needs and improvement required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is desirable.
  • Professional industry recognized qualification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; Fluency in Arabic and English.
