Corporate Design and Projects Director

ROLE PURPOSE

The Corporate Design & Projects Director is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of projects across 8-10 high-end luxury properties in Saudi Arabia. This role demands a strategic vision for luxury aesthetics and functionality, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of design excellence and operational efficiency. The Director will lead the coordination of design initiatives, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure seamless execution, while frequently traveling among the properties to oversee and support local project teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AND ACTIVITIES

Design Leadership

• Develop and implement design concepts that align with the luxury standards and vision of the owners.
• Lead the selection of architects, interior designers, and other design professionals for projects.
• Oversee the development of design plans, ensuring they meet the highest standards of luxury, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  
  
  

Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of project development from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Establish and maintain quality standards for all design and construction projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design plans and specifications.
• Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from quality standards.
  
  
  

Budget and Resource Management

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Oversee procurement and allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  
  
  

Frequent Travel

• Regularly travel to each property to oversee design and project execution, conduct inspections, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with local project managers to ensure seamless operations during visits.
  
  
  

Reporting and Communication

• Prepare and present regular reports on property performance, operational issues, and improvement plans.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all design and project activities, including plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  
  
  

Background, Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in luxury design and project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing high-end design projects and delivering exceptional results.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for details.
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
