Job Description

As Core SDM Expert at Nokia, you'll be part of a team focused on the operation and maintenance of Nokia based Registers ( HSS UDM FE, EIR, AUSF), SDL ( One NDS). Your role is essential in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our Network while providing vital support to business units for their daily operational queries. By managing system monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and automating administration tasks, you’ll directly contribute to enhancing our customer satisfaction and operational excellence. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Handle level 2 faults rectification of Nokia Registers (HSS UDM FE, EIR, AUSF), SDL (One NDS).
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Oversee monitoring, health checks, and preventive maintenance of all NEs
  • Validate and review configuration changes, software upgrades, and hardware expansions.
  • Lead critical incident resolution, ensuring minimal impact on subscriber services.
  • Perform and review root cause analysis (RCA) for major issues or outages.
  • Recommend optimizations to enhance service quality and system efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of configurations, changes, SOPs, RCA reports, and network topologies.
  • Drive resolution of high-impact incidents and outages in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure all change activities are well-documented, tested, and rolled out in maintenance windows.

Participate in ISO/ITIL/ISMS processes as required.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • 8+ years of cloud operations & hands–on Linux Administration/cloud & BGP/OSPF/ISIS and MPLS experience in a production environment.
  • Degree(s)/Major(s): Masters/Bachelors Computer Science/Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience of Nokia HSS UDM FE, EIR, AUSF, SDL (One NDS), IMSI analysis
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on Linux servers and virtual machines.
  • Familiarity with signaling protocols: SS7, MAP, ISUP, SIP, Diameter
  • Knowledge of OSS tools, Wireshark, NetAct.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery configurations
  • Experience in incident response and compliance documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and situation handling skills
  • Ability to maintain a persistent, dedicated, and "can-do" attitude despite setbacks
