Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Medical Consultant with specialization in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or Emergency Medicine to provide expert medical advice, clinical oversight, and strategic guidance. The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient care quality, developing protocols, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in managing critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist medical advice and consultation on critically ill or emergency patients to clinical teams.
Guide and oversee the management of patients in ICU, CCU, NICU, or Emergency settings as per your specialization.
Develop, review, and update clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices in critical and emergency care.
Participate in and support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety programs.
Contribute to case reviews, morbidity and mortality meetings, and root cause analyses as needed.
Support capacity building through training, mentoring, and continuous professional development of medical and nursing staff.
Collaborate with hospital administration on resource planning, equipment needs, and service development for critical care areas.
Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and promote evidence-based practices.
Assist in crisis management and response during mass casualty events or public health emergencies.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MBBS / MD / equivalent) with valid medical registration/license.
Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Neonatology, or relevant field (e.g., MD/DNB/DM/Fellowship).
Board certification in your area of specialization (where applicable).
Minimum 5plus years of experience in ICU, CCU, NICU, or Emergency Medicine at a senior level.

Clinical expertise in managing critically ill patients.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work under pressure and in high-stakes situations.
Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Experience in teaching, mentoring, or leading clinical teams is desirable
Preferred Experience:
Prior consultancy or advisory roles in hospital or health system settings.
Involvement in clinical research, protocol development, or innovation in critical care practices.
Experience with accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, NABH) is an advantage.
