Mace

Date: 9 hours ago
City: Riyadh
Contract type: Full time

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.

The project:

Mace is supporting the delivery of a landmark sports and entertainment venue in the Middle East. Designed with sustainability and cultural inspiration at its core, this world-class facility will host major global events and serve as a centerpiece for a transformative urban development.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Directing and governing the safe, efficient, and quality-focused delivery of the project, acting as the client’s construction authority within the PMC model.

  • Overseeing all site activities - logistics, sequencing, interfaces, contractor performance, HSE, QA/QC, and progress against an integrated master programme - ensuring the project meets its milestones, budget, and technical requirements from early works through handover, testing and commissioning, and operational readiness.

  • Supervising daily/weekly construction coordination meetings, chair production, and risk reviews, and driving a culture of “safety first”.

  • Ensuring compliance with life-safety regulations, temporary works controls, lifting operations, and high-risk activities (working at height and confined spaces).

  • Managing tier 1 contractor oversight: production rates, resources, method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and temporary works approvals.

  • Supporting commercial contracts in administration and variation management (FIDIC or equivalent).

  • Maintaining transparent communication with the client, programme leadership, operator representatives, and neighbouring projects.

  • Building and mentoring a high-performing site leadership team; promoting diversity, inclusion, and well-being.

You’ll need to have:

  • Extensive experience delivering major, complex construction programmes, with at least 5 years in senior leadership (construction director/manager).

  • Demonstrable track record on stadiums or large, complex venues (bowl/roof/MEP/broadcast/security) or equivalent mega-projects.

  • Strong command of construction planning, logistics, HSE, QA/QC, and contractor performance management within a PMC/client-side environment.

  • Proven ability to manage interfaces, sequence work, and recover programme delays on multi-package delivery.

We are also open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options if suitable within the role.
