CNC Milling Operator - Intervention Fishing Services & Drilling Tools

Job Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator to join our Intervention Fishing Services & Drilling Tools product line. In this role, you will provide machining services for oilfield connections, manufacturing and repairing fishing, rental, and casing tools. You will operate CNC milling machines to fabricate parts according to established API specifications and procedures, ensuring the highest quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines (including 5-axis) to manufacture, modify, or repair jobs, tubular connections, accessories, tools, and equipment.
• Program CNC milling machines using Heidenhain control and other software, preferably with oilfield manufacturing applications or related programming courses.
• Apply software programming knowledge for efficient operation and part production.
• Provide various machining services to meet the highest quality standards.
• Maintain and care for equipment and supplies, promoting workplace safety and following company policies.
• Willingness to work shifts
• Comply with all safety rules, quality systems, and company policies
  
  

Skills

• Strong knowledge of 5-axis machining operations.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain, Mazatrol Fusion640, and/or Fanuc control programming and operation
• Ability to program and machine independently, inputting correct cutting data for each tool type
• Good understanding of tooling geometries and mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and strong mathematical skills
• Extensive knowledge of cutting data for the latest tooling.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and repairing job work (API rotary, casing, and tubing threads preferred for CNC turners)
• Ability to use and read micrometers and various measuring equipment
• Fluency in English for communication and following instructions
• Ability to work closely with fellow team members
• Knowledge of 5S & Kaizen management principles
  
  

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of CNC machining experience
• High school certificate or technical diploma
• 5 axis machining knowledge.
• Familiar with Heidenhain control and other software.
• Apply software programming knowledge for efficient operation and part production.
• Preferably with oilfield manufacturing applications or related programming courses.
• Extensive ability and knowledge of operating hollow spindle lathe, rotary drill press, and various hand tools such as grinders and deburring tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
