A Snapshot of your day
Your day will involve setting up and operating CNC machines, including Laser Drills, Water Jets, Mills, Wire EDM drills, and CMM, while developing and optimizing CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages. You'll collaborate with engineering and production teams, conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including Laser Drill, Water Jet, Mills, Wire EDM drills, and CMM.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines, tooling, and programming, while performing routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including Wire EDM machines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance machining processes and efficiency, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in machining is preferred, with at least 5 years of experience in the same field.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, including specific expertise in Wire EDM drilling and CMM.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code); familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot programming and machining issues optimally.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong communication skills to coordinate effectively.
- Demonstrates a commitment to precision and quality in all aspects of machining and programming work.
