Cloud Compute Lead

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Compute SME Lead to manage Level 2 infrastructure operations across multi-data center environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuity of core IT services while leading incident resolution, service fulfillment, and infrastructure support activities.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across operating systems, databases, storage, virtualization, networking, backup, and security domains, while driving automation, standardization, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Level 2 teams responsible for maintaining and operating infrastructure components across multiple data centers
• Own incident and problem management, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality root cause analysis
• Ensure service fulfillment and provisioning of infrastructure resources including:
• Operating systems
• Databases
• Storage
• Backup
• Virtualization
• Networking
• Security
• Support and review infrastructure projects to ensure operational readiness, resilience, and compliance
• Lead and optimize enterprise infrastructure platforms across:
• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, AIX
• Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
• Storage & Backup: SAN/NAS and enterprise backup solutions
• Virtualization: VMware and Hyperconverged Infrastructure
• Networking: LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers
• Security: Baseline hardening and compliance with organizational standards
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and operational KPIs
• Drive automation and standardization using tools such as Ansible and scripting
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution across infrastructure layers
• Lead team development, coaching, training, and performance management

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong leadership capability with deep technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure operations
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, AIX
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyperconverged Infrastructure
• Storage and Backup systems
• Databases: Oracle, MSSQL
• Networking and security fundamentals
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and orchestration tools
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or lead role
• Preferred certifications include:
• VMware VCP-DCV
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration
• RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)
• ITIL v4 Foundation
• Networking/Security certifications (CCNP, CISSP)
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administration
• Red Hat OpenShift Administrator
