CIVIL ENGINEER, QUANTITY SURVEYING

Job description:

Job Purpose Civil QS Engineer works with the Technical Department to perform accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and material analyses for civil and architectural works. The role ensures optimized project costs, accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and compliance with project drawings, specifications, and standards through effective coordination with design, planning, and procurement teams. Key Accountability Areas

1. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all civil and architectural elements using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
2. Develop, verify, and update BOQs in accordance with tender, shop, and IFC drawings, as well as applicable codes and standards.
3. Ensure measurement accuracy and consistency across all project documents and revisions.
4. Review and assess design changes, updating quantities and associated cost impacts as required.
5. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, rate analyses, and budget breakdowns for civil and architectural works.
6. Coordinate with the procurement team to validate material quantities and support tender evaluations and comparisons.
7. Collaborate with design, planning, and site teams to verify quantities, resolve discrepancies, and support design coordination.
8. Provide technical support on quantity and cost-related matters during design development, tendering, and construction phases.
9. Maintain organized and updated records of drawings, take-off sheets, and BOQs.
10. Develop and maintain Excel-based tools and templates for cost control, material tracking, and progress measurement.
11. Ensure all documentation and deliverables comply with company standards and project requirements.

Academic Qualification Bachelor Degree in Surveying & Mapping Sciences or Civil Engineering Work Experience 5 to 10 Years Technical / Functional Competencies Cost Estimating Construction Engineering Procurement Reporting
