The Purpose of the Role
We have an excellent career opportunity available for a Senior Process Engineer in the Honeywell UOP business unit located in Dhahran, KSA. This is a great opportunity to utilize your experience in process engineering to significantly impact the UOP Process Technologies Equipment & Engineering team.

Position Accountabilities:
- Technologies covered under this position profile are Modular Refining, Gas Processing and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) systems, with the option to also cover other Honeywell UOP Process Technologies.
- Provide Process Engineering expertise throughout the duration of projects, including Basic Engineering, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication.
- May include supporting technical sales support in proposal phase designs as well.
- Perform basic engineering design including process selection, simulation, and equipment sizing.
- Perform hydraulics and other calculations for sizing of equipment, control valves and piping.
- Generate documents for design projects including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Project & Equipment Specifications and inputs required for FEED and Detailed Engineering.
- Develop basic instrumentation and control philosophy specifications.
- Participate in development and review of basic plant and equipment layout / general arrangement and modular 3-D models.
- Contribute in processes related to sub-vendors such as Technical Bid Evaluation and Design Progress Review.
- Contribute as a process engineer in internal and external HAZOP studies of Honeywell UOP delivered process plants.
- Contribute as a process engineer in interdisciplinary check of defined project deliverables.
- Complete assigned project work per the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support technical sales support to produce optimized process solutions in both the budgetary and fixed proposal phases that can be smoothly handed off for project execution.
- Support Customer Specifications Review and contribute to development of Exceptions & Clarifications Communication when required on Fixed Price Proposals.
- Participate in new technology development / infrastructure teams when assigned.
- Keep up to date with customer needs and technologies within assigned area.
- Recommend and participate in efforts for improvement of technology, design tools, work processes & procedures.
- Interact closely with global Technology Experts, Process Specialists, Skills Specialists (Static, Rotary, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Structural, Metallurgy etc.) and Technical Services to come up with solutions to complex problems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Min 10 years of Experience in Oil & Gas / Refining / Petrochemicals industry, preferably in process design engineering.
- Expertise in aspects of Process Engineering such as Process Simulation, Generation of PFD, P&ID & Equipment Specs, Hydraulic Calculation, Process Control, Project Documentation etc.
- Familiarity to relevant industrial Codes and Standards.
- Familiarity with Basic and Detailed Engineering work processes and inter-discipline interactions.
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstration on a daily basis of a high level of personal integrity
- Ability to travel both domestic and internationally.
