Skills Required for Chemical Standardization Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Extended level of knowledge and experience in the chemical industry, with expertise in material standardization, quality control, or regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred.
- Strong technical evaluation skills related to chemical composition, purity, compatibility, and compliance.
- Ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships to ensure an efficient supply chain.
- Understanding of risk management measures for chemical handling, storage, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized material selection strategies to optimize procurement and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align standardization efforts with project goals.
- Conduct technical evaluations of chemical materials for compliance and suitability in specific applications.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and address supply chain issues.
- Maintain documentation, including material specifications, safety data sheets, and regulatory certifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations governing chemical materials.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies through material standardization and bulk purchasing.
- Monitor industry trends, advancements, and best practices to enhance processes and material performance.

SALARY: SAR 264k - 351.95k (Annual)
Compensation – 10% Transport, 25% Accommodation
