Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Asian dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our culinary operations.

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation for both à la carte and buffet menus
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations
  • Manage your station efficiently, including mise en place and proper food storage
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies at all times
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and dish improvements
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Asian cuisine techniques
  • Assist in inventory management and minimize food waste
  • Adapt to changing needs during busy periods and maintain a calm, professional demeanor
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques in Asian cuisine

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role, with a strong focus on Asian cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of various Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients
  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools specific to Asian cuisine
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
  • Creativity and passion for food presentation
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications (preferred)
  • Adaptability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with local food regulations and cultural dietary preferences in Saudi Arabia (preferred)
