Buyer, Strategic Sourcing

Summary:

The Buyer, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for overseeing the strategic sourcing of essential goods and

services to ensure the seamless operation of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to obtain optimal terms and conditions.

2. Track deliveries and maintain accurate records of purchases, payments, and inventory.

3. Manage supplier relationships and cooperate to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

4. Monitor supplier performance and identify appropriate actions to mitigate any risks.

5. Address Requests for Quotations (RFQ) or bid invitations, Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposal (RFP) from external providers.

6. Maintain records and reports.

7. Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

8. Ensure all documents are properly maintained in compliance with company policies.

9. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate access to the documents.

10. Maintain the confidentiality of documents.

11. Adherence to legal and safety procedures.

12. Oversee and manage the entire purchasing process, from the initial request to final payment.

13. Ensure all documentation is accurate and fully compliant with established policies and procedures.

14. Conduct regular analyses and provide reports to develop strategies and action plans for cost reduction and savings.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in science, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Buyer in Strategic Sourcing.

Skills:

• Communication and Negotiation skills.
• Computer skills, including MS Office and SAP applications.
