Job Purpose:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for developing guidelines for the development of sales targets and for internal and external assessments, selecting external market research agencies, developing overall sales meetings plan, and finally developing and implementing customer care, loyalty and retention programs.

Key Activities:
- Ensure work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures and instructions
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Ensure knowledge transfer to direct reports and new joiners including approved work policies and procedures
- Follow-up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Develop guidelines for the development of sales targets ensuring alignment with strategic direction
- Establish business development plan and methodologies to achieve new business opportunities and reach set sales targets
- Develop guidelines for internal and external assessment in order to identify new business opportunities that are in line with WTTCO vision
- Identify needed studies and analysis in order to support Finance Deputyship in setting tariffs
- Support Corporate Communication Division in the development of guidelines for needed collateral communications to target and attract business opportunities
- Develop framework for the design of sales presentations in order to attract prospect clients
- Review developed annual participation calendar and provide recommendations to ensure WTTCO’s presence in all national and international events of interest to the organization
- Assess feedback report on external market research agencies and select the best fit for WTTCO’s strategic objectives and vision
- Assign sales teams to specific strategic opportunities and follow-up on their performance in order to suggest improvements
- Develop overall sales meetings plan and notify management of strategic meetings they would need to interfere in
- Reach out to potential clients and conduct pitch meetings to articulate interest and communicate WTTCO offerings
- Establish guidelines for the development of sales proposals ensuring adherence to applicable regulations
- Present sales proposals to clients and negotiate to reach agreements in line with WTTCO’s strategic objectives
- Develop and implement customer care, loyalty and retention programs
- Implement business development plan and assess related challenges to develop recommendations
- Measure the success of attended events in order to extract lessons learnt and ensure continuous improvement
- Follow-up on campaigns’ performance and ensure the development of effectiveness reports
- Assess the efficiency of customer care, loyalty and retention program and compile findings into a report
- Maintain CRM database and monitor inputs ensuring clients information is accurate at all times
- Coordinate with management in developing and motivating team members
- Ensure transfer of know-how, monitor team’s performance, and provide formal and informal feedback
- Support peers across the organization when needed to perform their duties
- Provide input for the development of reports regarding operations, activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making
- Perform any other activities as and when required
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience within the field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or in any related field.
