ASI serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change and we are actively recruiting a Data Analyst/Consultant to support the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Acquisition Program Management (APM) organization.
TSA’s mission is to “protect the nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce”. The APM organization has a portfolio of goods and services valued at nearly $1 billion annually, maintains over 16,000 security screening systems, and manages associated acquisition programs. This Data Analyst/Consultant will directly support the Checkpoint Property Security Screening (CPSS) program, which is designated as a DHS Level 1 program. On a requested basis, this position will be asked to provide one-off support to other acquisition programs within APM.

The Strategy and Organization Development Data Analyst/Consultant will provide analytical and strategic support to enhance customer experience initiatives. This role involves data analysis, knowledge management, survey design, and business process improvement.

Job Description
The Strategy and Organization Development Data Analyst/Consultant will provide analytical and strategic support to enhance customer experience initiatives. This role involves data analysis, knowledge management, survey design, and business process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations, design and generate reports, and identify trends to improve strategy and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements.
- Create business reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
- Develop and implement data quality checks.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Communicate findings through presentations and reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in analytics.
- Knowledge Management & SharePoint Support: Maintain knowledge management systems and enhance user experience on the agency’s SharePoint site.
- Manage user access, permissions, and content.
- Develop SharePoint pages, lists, workflows, and forms.
- Utilize PowerApps and SharePoint Designer for workflow automation.
- Survey Design & Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and data collection to assess customer and employee satisfaction.
- Design, develop, and administer surveys.
- Analyze survey results using Excel, R, SPSS, and Power BI.
- Provide recommendations based on survey insights.
- Create visual reports and dashboards.
- Business Process Management & Improvement: Support process improvement efforts by developing job aids, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Ability to obtain and/or possess favorable DHS Public Trust clearance
- BA/BS degree and 2+ years of consulting experience
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst/Excel Specialist
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, VB, PowerQuery, M language)
- Experience with SharePoint administration
- Strong data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with Salesforce Reporting/Dashboards
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Certifications in data analytics, project management, or change management
- Experience working with DHS or other federal agencies
- Work on high-impact, high-visibility projects that improve government services.
- Collaborate with experienced consultants in strategy, analytics, and organizational development.
