Job Description:

The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's efficiency and driving informed decision-making by meticulously analysing business needs and proposing solutions. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative approach to work with cross-functional teams. The Junior Business Analyst is tasked with gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and supporting project teams during implementation. They will also participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide ongoing support post-implementation to ensure the solutions meet business objectives. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize vast data into actionable insights are essential for success in this role.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business analysis or related role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis techniques, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Knowledge of business process modelling techniques and tools (such as BPMN, UML).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and the ability to work in dynamic and fast-paced settings.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a framework for solution evaluation and selection.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently, demonstrating adaptability in a changing environment.
  • Critical thinking skills leading to the ability to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and analysing business requirements through interviews, surveys, and workshops with stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and testing procedures for team reference and project continuity.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to develop functional specifications that accurately reflect stakeholder needs.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) by creating test cases, executing tests, and documenting results to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support the design and implementation of business solutions while ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and present reports and presentations that clearly convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive project objectives and foster stakeholder collaboration.
  • Analyse current business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, methodologies, and technologies that could benefit the organization and its business analysis practices.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication and understanding of business needs and analytical insights.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail for data analysis and business process evaluations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools to present findings and insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with business modelling techniques (e.g., flowcharts, use case diagrams) for process documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset to approach challenges proactively.
  • Collaborative team player, capable of building effective working relationships across diverse teams.
  • Adaptability to changing business environments and willingness to learn new methods and tools.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycles and project management principles.
