The Building and Infrastructure Manager is a crucial and strategic position within our organization, focusing specifically on the Saudi Arabian market. You will be at the forefront, leading the Building and Infrastructure (B&I) business unit with full accountability for its P&L, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. This role demands an in-depth understanding of the Saudi Arabian construction and infrastructure sector, especially in handling mega projects that are pivotal to the country’s development.

You will be instrumental in driving the success of our B&I division, steering the team towards achieving financial targets, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch services that adhere to industry standards and regulations. Your responsibilities extend to growing client relationships, understanding their unique needs, and providing solutions that surpass expectations.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement strategic plans aimed at growing and sustaining the B&I division’s market presence and profitability.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the Saudi market and mega B&I projects to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, creating a supportive and performance-driven work environment.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Building and Infrastructure business unit, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance SGS competitivity and ensure a proper market share and honorable position of SGS within the B&I business in the kingdom.
  • Work on the replication of SGS global success solutions and promote the use of inhouse digital and AI tools as applicable.
  • Develop new services tailored to the clients/market needs providing high added value and generating high margin (Engineering related services, Consultancy services, Project management, etc.)
  • Penetrate all public and private key players involved in the announced and upcoming mega projects and related to kingdom transformation and infrastructure development.
  • Contribute to the tendering and bidding process and ensure the compliance of the technical and commercial proposals and be part of the contract review and negotiation when needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, ensuring our services remain competitive and compliant.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in building and infrastructure management, with a strong track record in leading mega projects. Candidates should have consultancy and/or quality background.
  • Recent work experience in KSA or GCC region is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Saudi market, including its regulations, market trends, and key players.
  • Proven P&L management experience, with strong strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Knowledge in implementing sustainable building practices and understanding of green building standards.
  • Agile and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
  • Excellent English language skills. Arabic is an added value.
