ABOUT THE ROLE

:Ensure the safe, effective, and compliant operation of medical devices and equipment within a healthcare setting. Play a crucial role in patient care by bridging the gap between engineering and medicine, utilizing their technical expertise to maintain and optimize the technology that supports patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring, and ensure that the hospital's medical device inventory complies with all applicable regulations, including MOH guidelines and CBAHI standards. Conduct audits, maintain documentation, and collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installation and Maintenance of Medical Equipment: Oversee the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of medical devices and equipment, ensuring they function optimally and safely.

Providing Technical Support to Clinical Staff: Offer technical support and troubleshooting for medical staff to ensure proper usage of equipment and to resolve any operational issues promptly.

Managing Medical Device Inventory: Maintain and manage the medical device inventory for the assigned department, ensuring timely updates and replacements.

Participating in the Development and Implementation of New Medical Technologies: Assist in the evaluation, development, and integration of new medical technologies and devices into the hospital’s operations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering

Required professional registration

• Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE)
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering, with expertise in medical device management and maintenance.
