BIM Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models of solar and wind energy projects using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate renewable energy systems into building designs. Coordinate BIM models across various disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct energy simulations and analysis using BIM tools to optimize the performance of solar and wind energy systems. Evaluate factors such as solar exposure, wind patterns, shading analysis, and energy production.
• Utilize BIM capabilities to explore design alternatives and identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of renewable energy installations. Optimize layouts, configurations, and component selections for maximum energy generation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including drawings, schedules, reports, and other deliverables related to BIM modeling and renewable energy systems.
• Perform quality checks on BIM models to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in collaboration with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in BIM modeling for renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar and wind energy systems.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, principles, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
