Summary

The purpose of the role is to support the business in selling products and spares from respective Product Groups. In addition, ensure that all Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to BD, Sales, Regions, or DLS are responded to promptly in accordance with HMH procedures and standards. Actively contribute to the sales process by providing the necessary technical and commercial input to the key account managers during sales meetings with clients. Actively contribute to the improvement of the Tender Process, Contribution margins, and business growth. It also supports the customer and sales, from the creation of the sales order to the shipment of the parts. The role uses sales and customer support experience to generate timely and accurate sales order acknowledgments, improve processes, and zero-defect order entry. Also, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and supply chains to translate demand into orders. You will ensure the delivery is successful across multiple countries with multiple time zones to meet customer needs.

Roles, Responsibility, and Accountability:

  • Assist Business Development in preparing good quality tenders driving winning bid packages.
  • Assist in making the complete Tender Process more effective by ensuring a quicker turnaround time without compromising on the quality of the tender.
  • Single point of contact for the Key Account Managers for various opportunities pertaining to the respective Product Group.
  • Plan and organize response to RFQs in accordance with HMH procedures and standards.
  • Identify with Application Engineering Team and all the involved Functions (Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Legal, and Finance) the best solutions to meet Customers' "Critical to Quality" (CTQs)
  • Maintain Risk Matrix associated with every opportunity and maintain Compliance and Traceability Matrix
  • Ensure quotes are reviewed and approved at the appropriate management level both within Product Groups as well as in Business Development.
  • Ensure a smooth handover once the Purchase Order is received with the respective Product Group.
  • Take personal responsibility for HSE and quality
  • Be close to workshops and plants to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured.
  • Ongoing analysis for incoming demand and identifying order expectations
  • Working with the sales, and operations to prioritize delivery dates as needed.
  • Responds to customer needs for orders; coordinate a response if a request is different from the standardized offers.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end customer order for drilling spare parts.
  • Serve as part of a customer(s)- specific team, supporting transactional spares inquiries, order delivery, part expediting, and meetings.
  • Serve as point of contact for customers and lead efforts to resolve customer issues including on-time delivery and dispute requests.
  • Coordinate the commercial and technical inputs of several internal departments including engineering, pricing, manufacturing, planning, and sourcing to deliver customer expectations.
  • Works based on predefined contract pricing frameworks with decision-making authority to deviate from prices and conditions through the Delegation of Authority structure.

Deliveries

  • Quotes stating cost, schedule, and specification, explicitly including deviations from customer specification.
  • Preparing Compliance & Traceability Matrix.
  • Preparing Risk Register
  • Tools and procedures to ensure efficient tender processes of high-quality
  • Input to support the standardizing process in the Product Group
  • Participate in customer meetings as requested by BD
  • Tender, clarification, and hand-over meetings
  • Lessons learned meetings
  • Request applicable input related to quotes from within the Product Group
  • Get necessary margin approvals as per the Authorization Matrix before issuing the quotes.
  • Participate in the development of Tender and Sale Support systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer support, Technical, or Commercial role
