We're looking for passionate, high-spirted individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the very first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East. About Kimpton Riyadh

Located in King Abdullah Financial District which is set in the heart of the Saudi capital, 22-kilometers away from the airport, Kimpton Riyadh is the first Kimpton in the Middle East bringing the brand’s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this LEED certified landmark development home to 1.6 million square meters of state-of-the-art office space, world-class venues and iconic luxury residences. The hotel welcome guests to experience its 212 guest rooms and suites and to enjoy its unique dining options.

Day-to-day

Morning Routine

  • Opening Procedures: Start the day by setting up the coffee station, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
  • Inventory Check: Review stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Place orders for any items running low.

Service

  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare a range of coffee and tea beverages, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure each beverage meets the hotel's quality standards in terms of taste, temperature, and presentation.

Customer Interaction

  • Guest Engagement: Greet guests warmly, take their orders, and provide personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from guests to continuously improve the quality of beverages and service.

Maintenance

  • Equipment Care: Regularly clean and maintain coffee machines and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Workstation Cleanliness: Keep the coffee station clean and organized throughout the day.

Collaboration

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with other staff members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service.
  • Event Support: Assist with special events and functions, providing coffee and tea service as needed.

Administrative Tasks

  • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels and manage orders to ensure a steady supply of ingredients and supplies.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of recipes, production schedules, and inventory.

Evening Wrap-Up

  • Closing Procedures: Clean and sanitize the coffee station and equipment. Ensure everything is in order for the next day.
  • Review and Plan: Reflect on the day's work, review any feedback received, and plan for the next day's tasks.

Working as a Barista in a luxury hotel is both creative and customer-focused, requiring a blend of technical skill, excellent customer service, and attention to detail.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
  • Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role
  • International luxury hotel chain background
  • GCC exposure
  • English Fluency is required
  • Arabic Fluency is preferred

In addition to the tasks outlined above, all team members are expected to demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative spirit. This may involve taking on additional responsibilities as needed, especially during periods of high occupancy or in emergency situations. Your willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the hotel is essential in maintaining our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
