An opportunity has arisen for an Automation Projects Engineer to join our Project Management Team in Riyadh, KSA. Reporting to the Project Manager, with Travel across the MEA region you will be expected to:

• Deliver multiple automation projects in line with defined quality, HSSE standards, scope, timelines, and budget. • Assist and support the Projects Team in meeting established standards and KPIs.
  • Provide technical support during project execution, including troubleshooting, site coordination, and assisting installation teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the rollout of automation and payment projects.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with sub-contractors and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly project status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project milestones are delivered on time and within quality expectations.
  • Manage the project master schedule and action item lists effectively.
  • Ensure proper execution procedures and maintain project documentation.
  • Monitor project costing and profitability, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Deliver technical training to installation teams and customer end-users.
  • Oversee field installations and provide first-level support to installation teams.
  • Respond to technical assistance requests from installers during the project lifecycle.
  • Track, route, and escalate technical problems to the correct teams and resources.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance for installed sites prior to commissioning.

Personal Qualifications & Experience

Education/ achievements

Required: Engineering degree in IT, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation
Preferred: Prince 2 or CAPM


Experience/Knowledge

Required:

  • Recent graduate or with initial professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Arabic.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of project management tools.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages (French).


Specific Skills

Required:

  • Microsoft Package.
  • Project documentation (PMBOK or Prince1).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to handle several projects & actions simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • PM fundamentals and principles.
  • Risk management and mitigation.


You will also require a driving licence.
