Your new role, what's involved?

We are looking for a highly skilled Associate – Bridges & Tunnels (Design) to join our growing infrastructure team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in structural design for transportation infrastructure, particularly bridges and tunnels, with proven experience delivering projects in the Kingdom. This role requires a collaborative professional with a Civil Engineering degree, strong technical skills, and the ability to lead design teams and interface with key stakeholders.

• Lead and coordinate the design of bridge and tunnel structures as part of major infrastructure projects.
• Manage technical teams and ensure the quality and accuracy of structural design deliverables.
• Prepare and review design documents, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards (AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS, etc.), and client requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops.
• Support the preparation of proposals, fee estimates, and design schedules.
• Ensure all design activities are delivered to agreed timescales and budgets.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in the design of bridges and tunnels, with a solid understanding of structural behavior and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience working on infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of local standards and approval processes.
• Proficient in structural design software such as MIDAS, LUSAS, SOFiSTiK, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital engineering platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
• Member of a professional engineering institution (e.g., MICE, PE) is advantageous.
• Ability to lead small to medium-sized design teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
