We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Project Engineer specializing in construction of buildings to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. The selected candidate will be responsible for the daily civil and structural supervision of works on site.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Issue instructions, approvals, and clarifications to the contractor.
• Oversee the contractor’s work to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Approve materials, equipment, and workmanship in line with contractual requirements.
• Ensure that health, safety, and environmental regulations are met.
• Monitor the project schedule and progress against milestones.
• Identify and report delays, risks, and potential claims.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the employer/client.
• Review and certify contractor’s invoices and payments.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure the design is implemented as per the approved plans.
• Address any design conflicts or modifications required.
• Participate in progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Witness and certify testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with performance criteria before acceptance.
• Oversee snagging, defect rectifications, and participate in the issuance of completion certificates.
• Ensure proper documentation for project handover, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties.
• Manage defects liability period (DLP) responsibilities.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in construction supervision, project management, or contract administration.
• Experience in managing contractor performance, compliance, and progress monitoring.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Ability to supervise and manage contractor performance on-site.
• Experience in leading progress meetings and preparing detailed reports.
• Understanding of testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers in civil engineering.
