Job Title: Assistant Manager, Decision Support
Job Purpose
Support the Decision Support function in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insights to inform decisions at the organizational level. The Assistant Manager contributes to performance monitoring, data validation, and the preparation of analytical reports that align with SOPC’s strategic direction. By coordinating with relevant stakeholders and supporting senior team members, the role ensures the delivery of timely, accurate, and actionable information that enhances the decision-making process.

Job Purpose
Support the Decision Support function in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insights to inform decisions at the organizational level. The Assistant Manager contributes to performance monitoring, data validation, and the preparation of analytical reports that align with SOPC’s strategic direction. By coordinating with relevant stakeholders and supporting senior team members, the role ensures the delivery of timely, accurate, and actionable information that enhances the decision-making process.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Analytical Support and Insight Development
- Conduct basic to intermediate analyses of strategic and operational data under the supervision of senior staff.
- Translate data into charts, summaries, and key findings that support business cases and decision-making.
- Assist in identifying trends and patterns that may impact SOPC’s objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Track and update performance metrics across departments in alignment with SOPC’s strategic plan.
- Prepare regular dashboards and summary reports that reflect progress toward key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the validation and consistency of data used in performance tracking reports.
- Risk and Scenario Analysis Support
- Provide support in gathering data and contributing to risk analysis exercises.
- Assist with developing scenarios and models to evaluate potential outcomes and associated risks.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Work with cross-functional teams to collect and validate data for decision support activities.
- Assist in coordinating input and feedback from different departments to ensure alignment on analytical outputs.
- Reporting and Presentation Preparation
- Help prepare reports and presentations for the Manager and Senior Manager to share with leadership.
- Ensure that data and insights are clearly presented, well-organized, and visually coherent.
- Contribute to data visualization efforts and maintain up-to-date reporting templates.
