We are seeking an experienced Assistant HR Manager to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced cafe/restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, specifically within the food and beverage industry. The Assistant HR Manager will assist in managing HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, training, and development, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼11,000.00 per month

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, specifically within the food and beverage industry. The Assistant HR Manager will assist in managing HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, training, and development, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies while contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and selection of candidates for various roles (waitstaff, kitchen staff, etc.).
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and training.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a liaison between management and staff to address employee concerns, grievances, and suggestions.
- Maintain a positive working environment by resolving conflicts and fostering strong employee relations.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for new employees and for continuous development of existing staff (including customer service, hygiene standards, safety protocols).
- Monitor employee performance and suggest improvements or additional training where necessary.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Assist in managing employee payroll, attendance, and benefits, ensuring timely processing and compliance with local labor laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements:
- Ensure all HR practices comply with Saudi labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee contracts, terminations, and probation periods in line with company policy and legal standards.
- Health and Safety:
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety policies, ensuring staff adhere to food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and workplace safety regulations.
- Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Help foster a positive workplace culture through regular employee feedback, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
- Monitor staff satisfaction and retention, recommending improvements to increase employee engagement and reduce turnover.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare HR reports on staffing levels, turnover, training outcomes, and other key HR metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date HR documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of HR experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices specific to the food and beverage industry.
- Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, and training within the F&B sector.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local Saudi labor laws and regulations.
- Experience with employee wellness, health and safety, or conflict resolution in the food industry.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼11,000.00 per month
