Job Summary
As Assistant Banquet Manager, you’ll assist in managing banquet operations to ensure flawless event execution and exceptional guest experiences. You’ll support the Banquet Manager in coordinating with internal teams and clients, overseeing staff performance, and maintaining IHG’s high standards for service and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and executing banquets, conferences, and special events.
Supervise banquet staff to ensure professional, timely, and courteous service.
Coordinate with kitchen, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth event flow.
Support training, coaching, and motivating banquet team members.
Monitor setup and breakdown of banquet rooms to meet event specifications.
Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
Assist in inventory control and maintenance of banquet equipment and supplies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards.
Help prepare event reports and post-event evaluations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years experience in banquet or event operations, preferably in a hotel environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.
Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of banquet service procedures and health & safety regulations.
