About the location:
Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.About the Role
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager with strong knowledge in all finance sections and expert level in credit and income audit section to support the finance operations at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah . Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will assist in overseeing daily accounting functions, focusing on financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate billing, effective credit control, and adherence to both local regulations and Four Seasons financial standards.
What You Will Do
Prepare and coordinate the monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved satisfactorily.
Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.
Participate in the physical inventory counts and the subsequent accuracy of count, price, and valuation.
Safeguard the cash assets through monthly bank reconciliations, cash counts of all issued Banks, including general cashier, and reporting any discrepancies to the Assistant DOF.
Assist with month end adjustment journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare required backup or work papers in order to provide analysis and control over balance sheet and P&L accounts and to serve the purpose of internal and external audits.
Have a working knowledge of all areas in Finance to ensure that coverage can be provided for employees on vacation or leave.
Oversee billing and collection processes, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
Ensure that income is properly recorded, and an accurate and timely Daily Business Report is generated.
Be familiar with the program of records control, security, retention and disposal in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Proven experience in accounting or a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in English.
Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
