Job description:

Job Purpose

Assist in preparing, recording, reconciling and analysing general payments efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Accountability Areas

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales, and receipts.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.

Bookkeeping:

  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, such as journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process and verify invoices.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements (profit and loss statements, balance sheets, etc.) on a regular basis.
  • Generate financial reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the analysis of financial data and trends.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets.
  • Assist in forecasting future financial trends.

Audit Support:

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit tax returns.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial and accounting procedures.
  • Implement efficient and effective accounting practices.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.
  • Communicate financial information to internal stakeholders.

Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems proficiently.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
